Graduate and Undergraduate Philosophy Conferences now online!

On March 28th the University of Windsor hosted the Essays of Significance and Critical Reflections graduate and undergraduate philosophy conferences. Thanks to the excellent work of organizers Katherine Sulatycki and Erin Plumb who made this possible. Participants for both the undergrad and graduate conference came from Canada, the United States and even several participants from overseas.

Alternative metrics and article level metrics allow you to get a clearer sense of the impact of your research on the web in the social media spehere. Scholarship at UWindsor is connected to the Altmetrics (the company) to easily connect researchers to a snapshot of the social influence of their work. Windsor Yearbook of Access to Justice goes open access!

Windsor Yearbook of Access (WYAJ) to Justice Vol. 31 no. 1 is the first issue that is fully available online open access. This will allow WYAJ and its authors to engage with the widest possible audience. You can visit the journal here: http://ojs.uwindsor.ca/ojs/leddy/index.php/WYAJ

Canadian Open Access Policy Released

The Tri-Council open access mandate has been released meaning that Canadians and people around the world will have free online access to research funded by NSERC, SSHRC and CIHR. More details below:


Information Services Tenure-Track Librarian @ Leddy Library

The University of Windsor’s Leddy Library invites applications for an Information Services Tenure-Track Librarian position commencing as early as May 1, 2015. Intended to be filled at the Librarian I or Librarian II level, final rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and subject to final budgetary approval.
