The Aquatic Research Facility (~ 1600 ft2) consists of three experimental temperature-controlled rooms, one holding facility and dedicated experimental room, one wet lab fully equipped with all services, and one experimental area with five temperature control systems. This facility is unique in North America in that it pumps chlorine-free temperature controlled Great Lakes municipal water for flow-through studies.
Plumbing and electrical systems are configured to allow for independent experimental designs. The facility includes numerous aquarium tank racks, polytanks and fiberglass tanks of various sizes and configurations, as well as stand-alone chillers and heaters for static experimental designs requiring temperature control.
