Co-op staff and Windsor faculty members work closely to ensure that our programs are responsive to employers' needs.

Professional Development

Prior to graduating, students must complete professional development activities designed to address relevant topics and to cultivate the skills that employers need. MBA Co-op students receive instruction in proper resume writing, cover letter development, interview techniques: including participating in a mock interview assignment and exercise, job search strategy, work term report writing, presentation skills, and suggestions for a successful workterm,
MBA co-op students receive individual assistance with resume and cover letter critiquing.

1. Financial Analyst

You will be required to prepare analytical reports of the plant's financial
performance, which is reviewed by management on a daily basis. You must
maintain the salary labour tracking and control system. Other duties
include the preparation of weekly business meeting packages. In addition,
you will provide financial support and analysis to a production department
acting as that department's business advisor. Candidates must have an
interest in finance and a particular interest in automotive manufacturing.
A high level of skill in Microsoft Excel is a must for this position.

2. Marketing Generalist

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, are critical.
Applicants should also have an interest in the Marketing field. The
student's responsibilities will be to provide project and functional
support for all areas within the Sales and Marketing department. These
areas will include technologies, program development, launch and tracking,
back-up support and monthly reporting. The student will also interact
within the company in order to facilitate a better understanding of the
appropriate industries. The student must be organized, mature, a team player,
and show initiative. Knowledge of Microsoft office required.
3. HR Generalist

Your role in human resources will require leadership skills, strong
interpersonal skills, problem solving ability, and the ability to manage
projects with minimal supervision. You must be interested in pursuing a
career in the human resource and labour relations field, with a keen
interest in developing skills to work as a Human Resource Generalist.
· Health and Safety responsibilities: audit analysis, licensing,
other safety issues
· Recruitment and selection of personnel for salaried requirements
· Assisting with planning leadership and management development
activities
· Exposure to other HR areas such as Organization and Personnel
Planning
