The principal role of the Chemical Control Centre's Division of Laboratory Safety is to promote high quality laboratory safety practices and to assist members of University community in meeting their obligations to provide a safe and healthy work, research, and study environment.

Our goals are:

• Create and maintain a safe healthful research environment
• Teach safe work practices
• Promote safety awareness
• Ensure regulatory compliance for all uses of laboratory equipment and hazardous chemicals

Safety is a responsibility to be shared by everyone on the University campus, including employees, students and visitors.
