TOEFL Preparation Course
This 54 hour course is designed to help students prepare for the IBT TOEFL exam. Focus is broken down into 4 sections based on the content of the TOEFL: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. Extensive practice tests and exercises will be given on each section.
The 18 sessions are broken down as follows based on the

Reading (inference and purpose) and Listening (inferences and predictions)
Reading (paraphrases, coherence) and Listening (categorizing information; summarizing a process)
Reading (Summarizing Important Ideas; Organizing Information)
Material overflow
Speaking (Developing a topic; stating and supporting an opinion; speaking clearly and coherently; evaluating independent speaking)
Writing (connecting information; taking notes; developing ideas; sentence structure)
Speaking (connecting information; taking notes; developing a topic) and Writing (Evaluating the Response)

Registration Information
Some courses require that a Placement Test be taken to determine the proper class for you. Tests are scheduled during the week prior to the start of each session. Please make an appointment to schedule your placement test by calling 519-253-3000 Ext: 7039.
An administration fee of $25.00 is charged in the event that the student cancels one week prior to the start of classes.
A prorated refund will be granted up to three (3) weeks after the start of the session.
