Welcome to the website of the Operational Research Group at the University of Windsor. Operational Research can be described as the science of decision-making. It provides systematic and general approaches to problem solving and decision-making, regardless of the nature of the system, product, or service. At its foundation are the disciplines of mathematics and statistics. From this foundation, theories and solution techniques are developed for application in business (management sciences), government (economics), and industry (industrial engineering). At the University of Windsor, faculty members involved in Operational Research reflect the diversity of the discipline.
More information about Operational Research and the Canadian Operational Research Society can found at <

I hope you find this website useful and I invite you to write to me with questions about the undergraduate program and operational research in Windsor.
Sincerely,
Rick Caron
